BYD SHOWROOM – CGI VISUALISATION FOR A FLAGSHIP AUTOMOTIVE RETAIL SPACE

THE BRIEF
Working alongside Sammons Architectural, we were commissioned to produce a suite of high-end CGI visuals for a new BYD car showroom in Telford. BYD is a global automotive manufacturer, requiring visuals to accurately represent a highly detailed showroom design for internal review and brand alignment.
The Challenge
- Accurately visualising a highly bespoke commercial building with complex curves, contours and architectural detailing.
- Working to an extensive design and specification document, with no room for the usual creative deviation from approved layouts.
- Ensuring absolute brand consistency, including materials, colours, lighting, graphics and typography.
- Modelling a fully detailed showroom interior, including on-brand sales areas, customer zones and feature spaces.
- Creating visuals precise enough to be used as both a presentation and design coordination tool.
THE SOLUTION
Unlike more typical commercial CGI projects, this showroom required an almost entirely bespoke modelling approach. Every element — from furniture and floor finishes to lighting strips, vinyl graphics and branded feature areas — was created to match BYD’s exact specifications.
The interior design featured flowing curves, layered lighting and intricate surface detailing, all of which had to be modelled carefully to avoid harsh edges or inaccuracies. Particular attention was paid to the way light interacted with the architecture, especially the continuous LED lighting integrated into the building’s curves.
While the showroom vehicles were sourced from our existing 3D asset library, the surrounding environment was built from the ground up to ensure total fidelity to the supplied drawings.
Throughout the process, the CGI imagery was also used to support ongoing design decisions, with additional views commissioned to explore further angles and internal layouts as the project developed.

THE RESULTS
The final deliverables consisted of 14 high-quality CGI images, significantly exceeding the original brief. These included multiple exterior viewpoints, detailed interior perspectives and an aerial cutaway visual revealing both the building exterior and internal layout.
The imagery proved to be a valuable asset for both Sammons Architectural and BYD, supporting design validation, internal sign-off and wider showroom standardisation. The project was delivered over approximately three months, accommodating international feedback and additional image requests while maintaining exceptional accuracy throughout.
BUDGET – £4800

“Thanks again for your help. We will use some of the images on our website and new FB page, and then if we get asked for images on projects we can pass that work over to you if that’s ok.”
