Context: Why Winter Versions of Your Existing CGI's Matter

Winter CGI conversions help property marketing feel seasonally aligned. Summer imagery can feel disconnected during cold months. Winter scenes with snow and atmospheric lighting stand out on social media and create emotional connections with potential buyers. Converting existing CGIs costs less than commissioning new ones, making it ideal for developments with extended sales cycles.

Process

Step 1: Seasonal Light & Atmosphere

Adjusting lighting structure, tone, colour temperature, shadows and sky for a colder, softer seasonal appearance.

Step 2: Realistic Snow Application

Snow settles naturally on roofs, window ledges, paths, lawns, planting and hard landscaping, avoiding generic filter effects.

Step 3: Authentic Winter Detailing

Surfaces behave differently under different weather conditions. Damp driveways, colour-shifted brickwork, cooler glazing reflections. Trees, cars, street lighting and kerb materials are adjusted for believable winter environments. Hand-finished adjustments ensure alignment with brand style and development mood.

Results

Torus Developments commissioned winter and Christmas-themed CGIs for Baron’s Gate in order to sell their last remaining units. Following publication, 2 reservations were made.

“With Pixel Workshop's help, we were able to transform Baron's Gate, a quaint development in Malpas, into a winter wonderland in order to promote our homes throughout the Christmas and winter months. Our winter scenes brought the developments potential to life during a quiet period and helped boost new leads and refresh the developments look.”
