Brief

We have been working with CB Homes for several years, and wanted to share our most recent project as an example of just how far well-thought out choices of marketing content can go.

CB Homes was embarking upon developing a new site in Calveley, Cheshire. It is an 8 plot site of detached houses and semi-detached houses with large gardens.

Approach

We understand how important it is for our clients’ budget to stretch where it needs to, so within our consultative role we will always make suggestions which maximise the amount of content we create.

As well as the initial main house type CGIs (there were 3 main house types altogether), rather than create 3 street scenes we felt it would be more cost-effective to produce a bird’s eye view instead, which would really showcase the large gardens on every plot. In addition to this, we also costed for 2D floorplans and a 2D site plan.

Results

Once we’d created the house type images, the client decided he additionally wanted close up shots of each individual plot. Because we had already created a street scene of plots 5 & 6 and the camera angle was conducive, it was possible to provide a plot-specific shot of each one by simply cropping. However, for plots 1, 2 and 3 we needed to set up new camera angles in order to focus on the right part of each house. Plot 8 was an additional shot we could draw from the bird’s eye view.
