Turnaround Times

Turnaround Times

Every project follows our three-stage production process: white block approval, colour low-res review, then hi-res finals. Turnaround depends on the size of your project and how quickly you can send your feedback to us. Hover over each stage below to view typical turnaround times.

1

White block CGIs

2-5 wroking days
Untextured camera path and massing agreed before any materials are applied.
Camera angles are agreed before any colour work begins; no wasted effort and no surprises at the end. White block images show the 3D model in plain form so you can confirm the best angles to highlight your USPs.
2

Low-res colour CGIs

2-5 days after white blocks sign-off
Materials, lighting and context applied for full visual review.
Materials, lighting and landscaping are all checked at low-res. Changes at this stage are included in the price. For interiors, our stylist ensures the furniture, finishes and colour palette appeal directly to your core market.
3

Hi-res finals

1-2 days after Low-res sign-off
Print-ready and web-optimised files delivered, full usage rights included.
Once low-res is signed off, hi-res finals are turned around in 1-2 working days, ready for Rightmove, brochures and hoardings. You receive a print-ready JPEG at 300dpi plus a web-optimised version.
Total: approximately 8-12 working days from brief to final delivery.

Larger property developments with multiple blocks or complex facades require additional modelling time at the white block stage. Interior CGIs include an additional mood board stage, depending on how quickly you feed back to us at each stage, and the degree of changes involved. Our in-house stylist will create a bespoke mood board tailored to your target market during white block stage, ensuring ensuring the finished images speak directly to your buyers.

Property CGI That Moves You Ahead of Your Competition

When you’re deciding which CGI provider to work with on your new development, be sure to consider realistic turnaround times. We will always start by asking you what your deadline, or desired delivery time, is. If we can’t realistically meet it, we’ll be honest from the start. The Pixel Workshop has been in business over 20 years and consists of a highly skilled team of professional artists, project managers and architects, all of whom consider customer service a number one priority.

Creating photo-quality property CGIs fast requires a tried-and-tested production system, which we have been developing over many years. We’re a family-run company with a large capacity and big imagination; we can produce CGI packages for mutiple projects at the same time, hassle-free. We have separate teams for exterior and interior images and animations, to enable synchronised production as opposed to sequential.

What Our Clients Say About Us

"I have been very happy with the service and the results at the Pixel Workshop and will be using them again."

James Fitz-Costa

Senior Technical Manager, Churchill Retirement Living

"It's been an absolute pleasure working with The Pixel Workshop. The quality of their work is excellent. They delivered on time, understood my requirements and proactively made suggestions based on my desired outcomes. I would highly recommend the team for your CGI needs."

Ms. Goha

Project Manager Sevenoaks

"Having previously used Olivia and the team at Pixel Workshop, we had no hesitation in using them again when we achieved planning consents on two further sites. From start to finish, the service provided has been first class and we should also give a shout out to Guy who always responds to our requests in a timely fashion. Without a doubt, we will be back in touch soon!!"

    FAQ's

We are transparent about the costs of our CGIs from the get-go. Creating high quality realism from 2D architectural drawings and materials references is an artform and as such is open to subjective interpretation. Our quoted price includes two rounds of amends to your initial still images. We find this is usually enough to create the images you need, and includes all subjective changes, as well as small structural changes such as removing a fence, a chimney being moved, a Velux window added. The only time you may be charged additionally is if you make alterations to your designs after we have shared the low resolution images with you, in which case we will charge the same rate as the original quote only for the time taken to make those changes.
We’re not just a production line. At every point in the CGI process, every expert in our team is playing to their strength. To make sure you get the best possible results and to keep your costs down, we’ll ask you what your core market is, the price point of your development and how easy / difficult you expect sales to be. We’ll ask you for as many details up front as possible as we know this makes for a more efficient process. If we’re producing CGIs of interior spaces, we’ll need your interior specifications along with your planning drawings and building materials schedules.
It’s best practice to funnel the feedback into one point of contact. At the start of our CGI process, we can make things easier for you by asking for information directly from your architect. However, if you need feedback from them, the sales department and the directors, we always tell you when to expect your CGI white block views so you can arrange meetings in advance and keep production flowing.
Creating the best property marketing CGIs available starts from the point of concept. When we first take a look at your plans we make sure we find the camera angles which will show your properties off in the best light. We’re a well-established company; we’ve been creating CGIs since 2005. During that time we’ve honed our systems and nurtured a team of experts. It’s not just one person creating your image…we’re proud of our team which includes a trained architect, a fine artist, a videographer / VR guru, a stylist, a marketing expert and an experienced project manager. We’re a bunch of self-critical perfectionists who won’t rest until we have produced the best possible content for you.
No problem, we’ll walk you through the process. Our clients range from sole traders who are new to CGI through to large property developers and architects well-versed in commissioning CGIs who already have an understanding of what’s involved. If you already know, great, we will quickly talk you through how we work to make sure you get your CGIs on time, on budget, with the least amount of hassle, every time. If you’ve never done it before we’ll walk you through our process to ensure it’s stress free every step of the way.
We’ll always ask if you have a deadline that needs to be met before we take your job on. We’d rather under promise and over deliver. If we can’t meet your deadline we’ll be honest from the start. Once the job is booked in, delivery times will mostly depend on how quickly we get the info we need and the feedback required. Once we have all the information we need to get started an average set of still CGIs will take around 1-2 weeks to get to low resolution stage. We will keep you posted of our progress at all times and if you have any questions, queries or issues there’s always someone at the end of the phone who will help you straight away. We’re a small company with a large capacity, and we pride ourselves on our customer service. We understand your deadlines are important and we’ll make sure we meet them.
Send us your plans, we’ll have a chat to get a clear idea of your requirements and help you decide on the best camera paths to show all your USPs in the best possible light. Our CGIs are aimed at getting you the best possible value for money whilst not having to compromise on quality. If we know what budget you’re working to, we’ll always make sure you get a suite of content that puts you ahead of your competition. We’ll send you a competitive proposal, and once we’ve agreed the finer details, production can begin as soon as we receive all the required information and the deposit payment.
